I am running a Elite 7TI and I have very little experience with electronics.
I cruise at 4mph in my kayak, but obviously drift and sit a lot. So what should my:
Scroll Speed:
Ping Speed:
Be set at???
Thanks!

The speed you move in the water has little to do with the speed of ping and screen. Set the ping speed to max so that it fires as quick as possible to constantly update returns showing what is in the water. Your screen speed should be set close to max speed as well.
This way as the machine updates data, it shows it onscreen as it "is happening" instead of as it "was happening".
