Ex wrecked my car. She claims that she had a green light but who knows. Other party says they one. Insurance is in her name. Insurance has been dragging on waiting for police report. Noone was hurt according to her. Now I get a letter from their lawyers. Hoping that they think we are still married. Being officially divorced for many years I am not sure that I have any liability. I have not seen contents of letter. It is at post office. A mess that started with a wreck car is growing. Insurance adjustor and agent are telling me not to worry but of course I am.

Divorced for many years but she was still driving a car titled in your name? Not a great idea.....in general. Hope it turns out well. Probably a lesson in this.

I would think if insurance is in her name that the car would have to be in her name also.You have the decree showing you are not married.....I don't see where you would have any liability...

Lawyers involved anything is possible. You "owned" the vehicle. You should not have left your name on the title...I got nothing.

You're better than me, my ex doesn't even get the time of day. But, if the car is in your name but the divorce papers spell out it's her responsibility, sounds like not your problem other than if there's still a note on the car and it gets totaled to make sure it gets paid off.

No note never had one. The lawyer may not know we are divorced
