Hi all, I am planning my first fishing trip to Lake Arlington and Joe Pool and will be hunting wabbits, sorry I mean crappie. Where is the best place to fish on Lake Arlington and since I am planning to try my luck under the bridges on Joe Pool where is the best put in? Or is there a better place to fish other than under the bridges at Joe Pool? Thanks.

Arlington is a great hidden treasure. If you're targeting crappie, the divider wall always held a bunch that I've found, might be able to find some sunken timber holding others in the old creek bed along the eastern side of the lake.

I've never had good luck at joe pool.

I've always liked all the trees/brush at the Britton park area on JP. Under the bridges you can drown some minnows.

On Arlington just past the water outlet there is a field of stumps. Also on the major points there are brush piles placed by locals.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Thanks for the info guys, that was a great help. Looks like I'm heading to Arlington. I have only paddled it at night but it looks like a really nice lake and I think that i might have spotted quite a bit of timbers. So, thanks again!!!!
