 what happens when you leave the key on for extended amount of time

I had my boat at the shop to get diagnosed on Saturday did not check for the key to be turned off so today Tuesday my alarm was going crazy turned key off did this damage anything 200 merc efi 2003

Won't damage motor. Only run battery down and hour meter up if you have one.

I installed a Perko master switch at my batteries for just this reason. Been there done that 2003 Merc 150 EFI

Well if you have replaced your fuel pump with an electric you may have fried your pump.Ask me how i know.
