As of now I still love my spinning rods. I have started flyrod fishing last year and I am on my second year fishing on the fly. I am really enjoying the flyrod a lot. Who knows by this time next year the flyrod just might be my favorite.

When I'm targeting bluegill and the like I love my 2wt fly rod. Even an average fish is a challenge on it.

.
I love a fly rod in certain situations, but if I had to pick one set up it would be a 5 foot ultralight spinning rod with a 500 class Shimano reel loaded with 4 to 6 pound line.

Fly rod Question though - does a bamboo fly rod count as a cane pole?

Fly rod Question though - does a bamboo fly rod count as a cane pole? Just my opinion I would think cane pole since no reel is on it. The rod by its self would be a cane pole.
