last year he gave me pre-ban AR-15 and 1000 rds of ammo. Today he asks if I want his Beretta 92FS and a box of magazines. Says buy me dinner and we'll call it good. my sister did well.

You do Bob, that 92F is a fine pistol... By the way I was on Mayfield dr today around 3:30 looked like shift change.. Martin's gotten much bigger than when I applied there in 84..  good for y'all... Made in America...

Pre bans had were basically semi auto milspec versions. Ie bayonet lug and perhaps some subtle variables.
But, prebans may or may not be better. But they do command a collector status.

In my case it simply means the upper receiver has a fixed carry handle. Not great for mounting optics. Fortunately that's a easy fix.
