I had never tried tying outside. Overall, it was a positive experience.

The breeze is good for keeping cool, but tends to want to move materials around. Butane fire starters don't want to stay lit either.


Other than that, I'm going to tie outside again. No UV light needed and the lighting provided by the sun way beats the alternatives.

I've tied in a bar before. Not tied one on, but tied a fly.

I am tempted to bring my vise to work and tie during lunch breaks...
