I'm trying braided line for the first time ever and I have a noise question.
I put it on two casting rod/reels, and old All Star Classic USA made and my new St Croix Avid X. It's not as noisy on the All Star, but it has the big guides and a lot fewer of them. On the Avid X, with the micro guides, it sounds like I'm pulling sand paper through the guides. The line I'm using is Sufix 832 in the ghost (white) color, 40lb. From what I've read, the noise is normal, and I'm not to concerned about it on the older rod. The loud, grinding sound on the Avid X has me concerned. Am I damaging anything or should I just use it? It seems to move freely and cast fine, it's just really loud!
Forgive my ignorance, but I've never used the braided stuff before.
Thanks in advance!

From experience with braid it makes a noise on most rods, if you going to use it get use to it.
