Local fishing barges ?

I have a friend that is wanting to take his daughter fishing and asked about the location of some fishing barges. I have no clue about them. He lives in downtown Dallas. Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, there's always the Lewisville fishing barge. Not exactly the most productive fishing spot, but it's a decent place to take a kid.
It's located just off Lake Park Rd & Mill street.

If he is up for a little drive there is also the Weatherford crappie house. I have never been skunked there.
