Daiwa has a Tatula reel with a 8.1 gear ratio. I have one and it gets used a lot. Great reel IMHO.

Man its hard to beat the price of Curados right now. some places have them for 129 get a 7.2 ratio

does that Daiwa come in left handed? Yes - I have 5 or 6 of the left-handed Tatula Type R and Zillion. Great reels !

Shimano Curado 201 i series. I believe the 201HG is the left hand high speed model.

I say the Curado 70. 8.2:1 left hand reel at $200 would be a good bet CU71XG. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
