Caught This Hardhead Catfish And This.......Whatever it is, it looks like a sheepshead but had little teeth like a bass and it sounded like a croaker.

That bottom one is a Drum, a juvenile. When they get larger they may turn Blk or Gold as a huge adult up 50-lbs.

James, I see that you have been doing a little catching since you have been at the coast. I have a few tips for ya that just might improve those catches. You can make a simple leader out of mono that will be much better than the one you are using. Make a Carolina rig with some heavier line. Basically you slip a barrel weight on your line and tie a swivel under that. Tie 9-15 of heavier line to the bottom of the swivel, and then your treble hook to that. I have never been a big fan of the heavy burdensome leaders that you can pick up just about anywhere. You also might want to pick up a bag or two of Texas Tackle Factory, Trout Killer II Jrs. I like the glow/chartreuse color on a light (1/8 or 1/16) oz. jig head. Fish it like you would a plastic worm, just bouncing it off the bottom. I would almost guarantee you will catch a Trout of you are doing this at night under lights. The pic below is a large Black Drum that was caught on 12lb test mono. You dont need a heavy leader for most fish in the bay.

Typing and fishing at the same time - now that's what I'd call multi-tasking! LOL
