Looking to purchase an Ultrex w/i-pilot Link, currently have Lowrance electronics but will add Humminbird unit in the near future. Will I be able to operate the spot lock with this unit if it is not paired with a hummibird???

The only thing a bird adds when linked up is more storage space for the trails, waypoints, and locks along with the ability to follow depth contours. Of course, the depth contour following requires lakemaster maps. <<<(I think )

You can also run the Ultrex from a Helix. I am just learning mine!

You will be able to do everything except follow the contour and hit "go to" on the graph to go to a waypoint. You can still save waypoints on the remote and go to those without the humminbird
