I am looking to take my dad on a fishing trip around Aug/Sept. He doesn't get to fish too much, but I took him out on Lake Dunlap and he got a blow up on a frog in the limited lily pads there. Now he is addicted to trying to get frog bites. Where are the best frog friendly lakes around Texas to set him up for success?

Thanks in advance,
Wes

A good frog tip....

Only buy WHITE frogs, then take some sharpie markers and color the bottoms how you want them. It's easier to see the frog that way, and the bass only see the bottom of the frog.

Don't limit his areas to pads. Just about anywhere you would throw a topwater bait, try a frog. Especially early, and later in the day in shady areas. My personal best came under a dock, way back in the shade.

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.
