Going to make the 2 hour drive in the morning and check out Lake Waco in the morning with a friend. Any tips, advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated. It was a toss up between Waco and Gibbons Creek. Waco won. Lol. Thanks gents the advice on here has been invaluable.

Today's report. Top five lake as far as looks go. Sure looked fishy. The bite was horrible. Didn't get skunked but flipped and c-rigged a ton and the bite was soooo slow. See ya when it cools off Lake Waco. I gotta go hydrate now. Lol

Yeah it is a fun lake, Saturday was my 2nd time on the lake. I think it took 17+lbs on Sat to win with 3 fish. But I did not stick around with my 3@7.5lbs . But we caught lots of fish, and had fun.
It got very tough on us after the T-storm came thru Saturday.

3 fish for 18.5 lbs won it with a BB over 8. Said they were caught on brushpiles in 10-15ft of water. We saw tons of fish being caught shallow, just all small ones.

It's no secret they are in the brush piles. The baits used to catch them in them would surprise you
