Well, I texted her back told her I would be willing to do FedEx with COD, CASH ONLY, and would have the coins shipped tomorrow morning for Monday delivery.

Strangely, she has not responded.

Oh, I do a fair number of deals via Paypal & ship with tracking and insurance. Have never had one of those deals go badly.

My question was more about how a buyer could rip off a seller through COD shipping?

If buyer paid with bad check or fake cashiers check or money order you would be a loser.
I don't believe that usps or ups will do can only cod any longer.

So the followup to this story (cause I know how much Dan hates it when you don't finish a story!):

I did speak to Fedex, as I was sincerely interested in whether shipping stuff via COD is viable nowadays. They do offer "currency only" as a delivery option, and will insure parcels for the declared value. BUT, they will not guarantee that the driver will follow the delivery instructions - he might accept a cashiers check, money order, or similar instrument. If said instrument turns out to be bogus, it's my problem.

USPS does offer cash only COD service, but with a limit of $1,000.

So I contacted the nice lady and told her that we would have to use Paypal for both our protection. She wasn't interested.

If anyone wants her number, just send me a PM.
