How do you mark your reels or rods to indicate what # test line is on your reel?

Brother label maker. Small font and I stick it on the reel under the handle. "20# 6/29" is what it will say. I know what reels have flouro/mono so I do not need to notate that.
I used to wrap the label around the rod but I fish coangle 98% of the time and find myself switching reels around depending on what I'm trying to accomplish.

I use the little white stickers that come on the line or some white tape and just write the lb test and type on it. Stick it under the thumb bar where you really never touch so it doesn't rub off or get in the way.

Orange round dots that they sell at office supply places, put the lbs and the date then install them on the bottom of the reel seat.

painters tape just in front of the reel but not where I hold it. mark with a sharpie. Tape comes off easy and doesnt leave a residue.

Just remember what you put on Try that with 30 or so rods in the box. If you don't have anything helpful to contribute, why even comment? I tried my label maker. the labels stuck somewhat but the text all disappeared. I am glad this thread came up because I am re-spooling this Friday when I get home and had just decided that the only real way was to make an excel spreadsheet and print it and stick it in the rod box. May do that anyway for insurance but some good ideas here.

Blue painter's tape, cut into smaller size. I put it on the reel instead of the rod because sometimes reels get changed around due to bird nests
