A piece of paper. All the text was washed off basically. I believe it was a piece from a newspaper or something. It was very strange.

My lure

Lots of things over my life time.
- Crayfish - shad- baby carp - crappie - blue gill - minnows - leaches - night crawler - fresh water eel - catfish - stick - moss/hydrilla - leaves - gravel - mud - another bass - snake - black bird - turtle - mole - mouse - baby duck -fishing lures - hooks - line with a hook somewhere - lots of feathers all colors - and a culling clip, float was gone.

Found a rubber worm hanging out the other end.

I found your lure in a bass I caught also!!!

Saw a pic of a snake head sticking out of a basses throat.... makes me think twice sometimes when just grabbing fish.

was fishing a hydrasports tourney years ago on Lake Lanier...hopping jig down a steep bank and got a bite...set the hook and fight the fish halfway to the boat and all of a sudden I couldn't pull the fish any closer..felt like he was hung up on something...kick trolling motor on high and get over top of him in about 15 ft of water and start pulling him up....when he comes to the top,partner nets him and he's got an old rusty spoon in his mouth....hooks were almost rusted through....I started pulling on the line thinking there might be a rod/reel on other end but whatever was on end of it was hung up something and I ended up cutting spoon off the line....figured that fish was kinda like a dog on a chain----he'd bite anything he could reach......
p.s. fish weighed about 2 1/2 lbs and I did weigh him in....

Several years ago we were fishing C-rigs on Monticello at the dam outlet. My partner set the hook and an eight pounder jumped and he lost the fish. He cast a second time, same scenario... we are like what the $@#%!. Third cast same thing, but this time he caught the fish. Once in the boat we saw that the fish had large locking snap through the mouth which was tied to some heavy mono. We pulled on the line and found it tied to the bouy rope. Assumed some cheating SOB had staked out the fish for an up coming tournament. We concluded that on the first two casts, my partner was actually catching the line.

Would have loved to set up surveillance with a video camera. Instead, we cut the line, took a photo and released her. Sorry SOB!

I found my lure from a bass that broke me off the day before.

Heard of this before. Go buy a lottery ticket after that!

Had the exact same thing happen on OH Ivie many years ago. Got bit, set the hook and broke off on the hook set. Came back through the area again 10 min later, partner gets bit we catch the fish and find my fluke, hook and about 5 inches of line in the fishes mouth.

Fishing a small lake with my brother in-law I caught a bass in the afternoon with his lure in it's mouth that he broke off earlier that morning. Bass have short term memory loss. Cleaning fish for a fish fry I found a mouse in one, a little extra protein never hurt.
