My wife and I pick up a used Skeeter ZX225 today. We fish a lot up until the
economy took a dump in 2007. We had to sell our boat and every piece of tackle, along with our business, auto and home.
We finally made it back up a little and glad to say we will be fishing every moment we can.
We have retired too. So lots of time to fish.
Really look forward to meeting some of the TFFer's at the lake.
Y'all have a great weekend.

Nice choice on the boat (I've got one too) and congrats on being able to fish again. I too went about 10 years without a boat and basically no bass fishing. 2011 is when I got back in it and realized how much I'd missed it.

Good luck to ya!

Congrats on the new boat and welcome to TFF!

I just restarted fishing again seriously again last season after we fished raising our children and got them thru college. I always thought of myself as a pretty good stick, but I soon realized that my accuracy was not even close to what it was and I will need to do a lot of practicing before I will be even close to where I left off. Confidence grows every trip out and success rate has improved a great deal too. Ray Roberts is where I spend most any free weekend but intend to hit a few more metroplex lakes this season too.
Again welcome and hope to see you sometime out on the lake.

Welcome to TFF.
I am in the same situation, was out of fishing for an extended period of time, sold my boat etc.
Now I have dove deep into it, and I have to say the folks here at TFF are great. They are willing to share all kinds of info, help out the best they can.

This time around for me, I am looking at getting involved in more tournaments.
Have fished some local events, and joined the American Bass Anglers, so I can get out to other lakes.
Got my search light out for another boat, upgraded all my old gear and really looking forward
to having fun.
Again all those around here are super, feel free to ask them anything.
Well that is except for the coordinates of their favorite spots

Glad to hear things are going better. I'm sure that was very tough, congratulations to you both.

Now go get 'em!
