Guys,
I would like to upgrade my Truck stereo it's all stock right now and just sounds flat. Has anyone done this? Thanks in advance.

personally i wouldn't do it - after market electronics make your truck a target for meth heads combing parking lots. Even if you get a super cheap one, they won't think twice about breaking a window and ripping it out of the dash in the middle of the day. I have put 4 after market stereos in vehicles in my lifetime, every one of them ended up getting stolen, or they tore up the vehicle trying to steal it.
if you are just itching to upgrade, upgrade the speakers under the trim where it can't be noticed visually that you have done any upgrades.

Honestly I see it as a complete waste anyway, but like said above I bet your probably more displeased with the speakers etc. than the radio itself.
But again my vote is keep your money in your pocket.

How in the world did I miss this thread? I love to waste money on sound systems.
Currently, I just have one in the TT and boat, but will probably do my F150 next year when I give it to my son. I've done numerous vehicles in the past. Never had anything stolen...knock on wood.

Just put new kicker door speakers in my 2016. All the difference in the world.

If I do anything it will be to upgrade my speakers. Take a look at Crutchfield, lots of good info there.
