You mentioned Central Texas, how about Bastrop. Lots of grass and they are chewing!

Walter E Long aka Decker

Probably the pound for pound best lake in central texas right now. Good numbers and size. It's a smaller lake and absolutely covered in grass.

Bastrop or Fayette.

The 'trop has treated us well the last few trips. Two of us caught 32, 30, 82 and 30 the last four trips. The 82 day was extraordinary. And it ain't even schooling time.

Outside of grass edges and in the creek channels is where most were caught. Water temps will approach 90.

I'd recommend Bastrop or Fayette as well. Fayette has little to no grass but it's a fun lake to fish. Bastrop gets tough during the Summer months. If you want a big fish, go to Decker. It's fishing really well right now!

I just hit Lake Waco last week for the first time, it was a fun lake but alas no grass.

Bastrop has not been fishing good for me last couple of times I was there

How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?
