I do prefer the typical bullet shaped worm weights for my C-rig weight over the egg or barrel shaped weights. Seems to hang less for me.

Lead is bad for the environment. Is that fine, too?

I bought some 1/2oz lead bullet weights the other day because I forgot to order tungsten and Academy never has it in stock. They were the size of my pinkie! And I really wanted 1 oz. I'm out on lead. It's rare I can't work a weight out of the rocks and if I lose $10-20 a day in weights its really not a big deal

after truck gas, boat gas, food, beer, ice, a couple bags of plastics, a crank or two lost to a tree, oil, fuel additive... whats another $10-20
but really, use braid or heavy flouro mainline and don't yank on it when you get stuck in the rocks and you can usually get it out

Good thing we live in America where we have the individual freedom to choose. I bet the North Koreans are forced to use aluminum on their C-rigs.

I use tungsten barrel weight from Real Deal Tungsten. Very good weights for just over $3 each. I think the feel of tungsten is worth it for me.

Just like using tungsten for drop shots, pointless in my opinion and a good way to lose money. Dragging a crig with lead, if you cannot feel anything on bottom your rod is not sensitive enough or you are fishing silt or mud.

The fish can tell that your trying to be cheap....they won't bite unless you use tungsten. They won't bite tungsten that you bought on sale either. They only want full price stuff Yep....none of that cheap H2O stuff....gotta be Picasso or Strike King. No self respecting Bass will fall for that.
