Really, really good movie. Was not expecting much but I am glad I watched it. Well worth the time.

I really enjoyed it too. I was supposed to go down there for the first time and this tragedy put a hold on that. We saw oil 3 years later out there 50 miles out.

We were in 600-800' and the oil was still on the surface at that time. We were on the southwest side of the Mississippi canyon. I have not seen those pics and would hate to see what the thermal looks like.

I don't see how BP was ever able to recover from that.

My wifes' boss was at the trial, he was being tried for filing false claims for people who were not involved. He represented himself in his own defense and got off. A couple of La. lawyers were sending him clients that didi'n exist, collecting the money and living large they went to jail for a long time. The guys name is Michal Watts probably the best lawyer in S.A.

The discipline and team work portrayed by the crew was inspiring.
The most haunting scenes were roll call on the support vessel and Trace Adkins demanding answers.

I watched it too and liked it. I do a lot of fire suppression in the refinery business. I did a big job up near Chicago back in 2012 on the shores of Lake Michigan for BP about 18 months after this happened. Their whole safety philosophy changed. I see so many skimp on fire suppression, but not them anymore.

Was an excellent movie.
