I know most simply use a screw driver when tightening the two screws for the gear lube, but the owners manual states each screw should be specifically torqued 6.6lbs. What kind of torque wrench would you use on a flat head screw? I have three torque wrenches, but I use them with sockets not screws.

The eBay link was just a regular torque wrench used with sockets. I need a screw driver for a flat head screw with a 6.6lb torque setting.

Goot n tite works. Most people cant over tighten with a flat head screwdriver. If your Hercules just get your wife to do it for you. Unless she's Wonder Woman.

Just "good and tight" works for me. Been doing my own gear lube changes since my boat was new in 2008.

I have heard of people with Tacomas stripping out tranny pans trying to hit the torque settings. Some Tacoma owners even insist on torqueing oil drain plugs.

think it would be safer to actually not use a torque wrench since most have fairly long handles you more likely to over tighten it..and it sounds like you're not that familiar with hand tools by you previous questions.

F.A.T. wrench. It's actually made for firearms but I've used it for all kinds of stuff.
