Since it's getting on into summertime, I haven't seen any topics on lure retrievers yet.. is there one you prefer over others? I'm tired of losing crankbaits

I use an 18 foot telescoping golf ball retriever. I'll break one every few years, but they're usually a lot less expensive than regular lure retrievers.

The daiwa retriever with the tiny holes is junk. The bass pro shop brand is much better.

The inexpensive one from Academy Sports and Outdoors has done a good job for me.

Like K.D., I make my own just like he does except I use the big round, flat weight because I can just keep it in my pocket comfortably while fishing crankbaits. Easy simple and works just as well most of the time.

Hey, I fish Fork. For every lure I lose, I find two. So I'm always increasing my lure count. Even found tungston weights.

The inexpensive one from Academy Sports and Outdoors has done a good job for me. That one. $5. Pays for itself in one use. Mine has saved me thousands over the years. I have one lucky craft deep diver that's been rescued 100 times.

I have one lucky craft deep diver that's been rescued 100 times. This is the best one I've used. You can get one with chains at the end too.

I use a plug knocker like others have mentioned. It's a 3 oz weight zip tied to a snap swivel. It works great. I've also started using 6th Sense Crush 50x squarebills. They don't seem to hang as often and will float loose a lot of the time if I "pop" the line like a bow and arrow.
