Fished form about 12:30-2:00 yesterday. One brush pile, put 19 small keepers in the boat. Most between 10 and 11 inches. To say the bite was light would be an understatement. No thump, no line twitch. Rod would just get "heavy". 1/8 oz jig head, red sickle hook tipped with a minnow was the ticket.
Sorry, no pics.
"Life is a matter of luck and the odds of success are in no way enhanced by extreme caution." - Erich Topp, German U-boat Commander, 1943.
When in doubt, set the hook.

Noticed the same thing last week after the rain.

Happens quite often during the summer especially when it really gets hot. Those fish are not actively feeding and you are just forcing them to bite. They probably would have been biting more aggressively earlier in the morning.

I've seen this often when fishing plastics. A change in color, and/or size of the bait is sometimes all that's needed to turn them on.
