The wife and I are looking for a lakefront lot for the rv and to take the grandkids so they can fish and play in the water. We are wanting to keep the price low enough we can improve on the lot and found a ton of them at Lake Grandbury. Does anybody have any information on this lake or recommend a lake to go and look at.
Thanks
Team1roperdad

The lake is owned by Brazos River Authority. IT IS NOT A CONSTANT LEVEL LAKE AS PEOPLE ARE OFTEN LEAD TO BELIEVE. The generators at PK are no longer operational, so water releases to Granbury are not as they once were. Just make sure you know what you are getting before purchasing.

Thank you, Any other lake recommendations. The wife loves to catfish and I bass fish and the grandkids play in the water.
Even a good riverfront lot would be nice.

Lakefront lots with improvements usually have a very high property tax rate.

Really the only improvement I can think of will be probably a pad for the rv, Water, electric and maybe a storage building.

As I said the tax rate is high, my buddy has a place on Cypress Springs he claims his tax rate is much higher than his house in Plano.

a yearly lease wouldn't be bad
We are not going to live there full time just to get away
