Any of yall running lowrance hds unit and a humminbird mega at the console. Still contemplating on running a hds 9 and a helix 10 mega at the console and a helix 10 up front. or just all 3 helix 10's. I really like the 2d and the mapping of my lowrance though. I especially like the back tracking I can do with the hds unit. Just seeing if there were anyone else out there doing this and what were yall's thoughts on it.
Thanks,

I run an HDS Touch 12 in dash, Humminbird 1198 on a ram at the console and and HDS 9 Touch at the bow. I did it because I liked the Bird's SI better than the Lowrance.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

Yes, but I never run both SI and SS at same time.

Plenty of people have ran both on the console. Deciding which mount is the hardest.

I run an onix and hds 12 at the console. The onix is just mapping and 2d. I got it for the lakemaster. I like the 2d better on the bird by a long shot. Maybe because it is chirp. I like the mega but I get some pretty good shots with the hds on 800. If it had a scroll speed adjustment and would shoot just a wider better than they do it would be all I would need. But to answer the question I do run both. The lowrance is so far ahead of the birds in terms of customization and ease of menus it's stupid. I thought the onix would compare pretty good but it's like a 1980s computer vs a new touchscreen laptop.

I am with the skipper, kinda..... I have a Helix 9 mega and HDS 12 at the console. I bought the Bird mainly for mapping but the mega side imaging is unreal when tuned properly. I thought about upgrading everything to the Solix series but figured out the electronics they have in there are not the best. The main thing I do not like about them is the way point management. The Lowrance is quick on the fly but the Bird takes a few more steps to get the icons in place. I do however run both units at the same time with very little interference on the Lowrance and none on the Bird. I will most likely upgrade the 12" HDS when the Gen 4 come out and just keep the Bird for mapping.

One good thing about having a onix or solix is it uses gpx for its waypoints and stuff so you can have a card on the boat and load them back and forth to each unit pretty easy. With a helix you would have to run everything thru humminbird pc to change the format
