anybody with a minn kota ultrex help me out here.

have you had any problems with the foot control coming on and off by its self.

I want some info how to set it up properly. have not yet set the puck, so I haven't used the remote yet. does that affect the spot lock? is that why Im having issues.

First question is do you have the Hub link set up? If you do then maybe you aren't getting the iPilot link established. I have to turn on a specific ACC switch in the boat and have the graphs and Ultrex on for this link to occur. If that link is not connected, it causes some issues.

The buttons are easily touched accidentally, I hit my N button quite often, not sure what it stands for, north or navigate ? Anyway I have had the motor come on and I would look and the N light would be on.

I do not have puck installed yet and have not synced. so that makes sense on the spot lock. but right now when Im fishing. I can be running the motor with foot on trigger and let off. the motor will just keep going with only blue light on. then sometimes ill be fixing a lure and motor will just start going by itself with only the blue light on.

has anybody got minnkota and boat linkage cable to graph and synced with hummingbird 998c? mine is not reading right

I have mine connected to Helix but through a 5 port network and havent had any issues. I did install the puck but I never calibrated it, cant really see how that would cause your constant to come on and off. Do you have your remote in the boat with you? I will occasionally hit a button on the remote, if I am wearing it, and not know that I hit it. Off the top of my head I can not remember the colors of the lights and what they indicate, but I am thinking the blue light is your auto-pilot (the "N" button on foot pedal), this light would indicate that your trolling motor is in auto pilot mode and will try to keep a speed and heading direction you were in when the button was hit. If in low wind it could change speeds if needed to in order to keep you same speed. I will try to look tonight at the light colors to see what the blue light indicates. The other thing it could indicate is that you have the Constant turned on which will keep your propeller turning at all times based on the peed you have the motor set at.

I should add, that I dont remember mine having a light on when sitting idle with nothing set. So the blue light would indeicate that something has been turned on (i.e Constant, Auto Pilot, or Spot Lock)

Finish installing, mount and establish link with puck, link with your phone and update firmware, calibrate according to the instructions. Blue light is on when Ultrex is on.

The on/off button is a magnetic trigger. It is VERY sensitive to adjustments and is more than likely a hair out of whack. Under the push button you can see the little magnetic thing. They say you can move it up or down very little and it will fix it. I have not done it but there have been quite a few doing exactly what yours is and some of those guys have just adjusted theirs while some guys have sent them back

I tried to call and minnkota and they said the same with the trigger button to adjust. but with other things with transducer and graph, they just say its not installed correctly.
