Anything else out there as sturdy as the American angler pro? Im looking for the best of the best. I saw one the other day that looked like it had a blade guard similar to a sawzall or jig saw. I cant find it online though. I haven't tried the American angler but as of know it looks like a good buy.

I am not sure how many fish I cleaned with my first AA knife. I clean a lot of fish every week for customers, family & friends. The only reason my first AA knife stopped is because the cord broke at the Entry to the knife.. I am on my second one now. Not sure why you would need a better knife. Would last a lot of fisherman a lifetime.
ABU 6500, ugly stic, big game line, fluorocarbon leaders, and American Angler Pro knives get it done for me!

The Rapala heavy duty fillet knife is the best, it is twice the power and speed. I own two of them, one for backup and I rotate using them and have 3 sets of blades with rotation on blades so I dont wear them out

Tried them all and the only one that will stand up to the number of fish a guide cleans is the American Angler. Johnny

I've never tried an American Angler. Prob will have to now.
I use a Mister Twister Piranha Salt/Fresh. It's done quiet well for me.

To get an American Angler Pro, it cost twice the amount of $$, compare to Rapala heavy duty, of coarse I tried every electric knife out there myself. Also american Angler are hard to get at local shops unless you order

This model hasn't been made in years and is still cleaning my fish and carving my holiday turkeys. Just sharpen the blades every so often and spray cooking oil on the inside to reduce friction and gunk build up while filleting a limit of sandies. So my vote is American Angler.
Fishin' to stock Lake Crisco.

The American angler got me to quit manual knives and that is no joke. It's a workhorse and worth every cent!

Captain Yakker, I have that same model of AA. Have you tried to replace the blades with the new AA blades and did they fit? I would think they would, just haven't tried them yet although I need to, bc mine aren't as good as they used to be.
