Shut-Up-and-Fish: Yep, that was me in the Skeeter center console. If you fish L'ville often, you will see me since I fish that lake 90% of the time. You can sometimes find me fishing in a center console Fishmaster - a well known Crappie guru in these parts, he and I fish often. I think the guide was crappie fishing, probably anything fishing since he wasn't doing that well. You would have had to have been there to see him, and yes it wasn't worth my time unless his trolling customer snagged my lines, I would have had to have said something then. But the fact that he did what he did speaks for itself.

No - he never said hello or anything. I probably would have invited him to fish next to me if he had spoken and introduced himself, but it isn't my lake you know. Yes DOA, there are crazies out there, but we should always be prepared, I am.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=orSLlDlS0h4&feature=youtu.beThis is raw footage from the Nissan Dealership in Greenville last night. A couple of bounty hunters tried to make an arrest. They guy pulled out a gun, the bounty hunter pulled out his gun and things went sideways quick. The guy they were there to arrest and both bounty hunters died. Still think you handled it well.

I usually do not post much but instead peruse the Forum to learn. I fished Lewisville Dam Saturday, did real good on crappie. Noticed a guide in a bass boat with a couple of customers. They were not doing very well and I watched them slowly work their way towards me. I usually welcome and accept potlickers on the open water so long as they remain respectful and exercise common sense. Fishing around others is a great way to learn, especially since we can always learn something from someone on any given day. The Guide used his trolling motor to get within 10 feet of me. I wanted to say something, but heck I just let the rod and reel do the talking, pulled in 2 more keepers while his customers watched They trolled right by me and picked up a 4" bream. The guide moved on after marking the spot with his side imaging. I hope he learned a new spot for his future customers. I know I have learned from the guides and appreciate them. I only hope he returns the courtesy if someone motors up close to him when he has customers in his boat instead of claiming the open waters around him as "off limits". Decided to let the keepers go since we changed the menu from fish to steaks Saturday afternoon so someone can catch them next time. Hard not to say nuttin, good job.

We were discussing how close he was getting to you, but were amazed when he finally moved down on you. You handled it A LOT BETTER than I would have, and you're to be complimented for that. And if a person puts himself out there as a guide, he should haven no reason to potlick. Good luck in the future, and if you see me out there, stop and say hi. I also live in Highland Village.

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows this was not me and I was not on the lake that day. Had a customer text me someone was mad at me on the forum. He must have assumed it was me. I do guide on that lake all the time and I do run trips from a bass boat. Just wanted to clear things up in case there is any misunderstanding about who this was.

Thanks Jacky - I don't know who the guy was, and even if I did, I would not reveal him in public. If I knew him, I would handle it more discretely. Guides have a tough time keeping their reputation in tact. Difficult not to say anything, and unfortunately, I have in the past, with mixed results as you can expect.
Always remember - only the pigs have fun when you roll around in the mud.
Hey Crappie Guy - PM sometime and I will introduce myself.

It was not Jackie. I have seen him cleaning big piles of fish several times. Do not think he needs to potlick.
John, How do you know the guy was a guide?
Also, my phone did not ring last week.

I wonder if his clients are allowed to use GPS on his trips.
Hebrew 12:1b let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
