20+ but I almost always have my 8 year old son with me so numbers with hope for a big one beats fishing for a big one. We often catch 15 or more on our first couple of stops but they probably average only around a pound. Before kids and fished for bigger fish. Heck now we sometimes even target spots.
Let's see that new ride!

Just curious for those of you who average 20+ fish? What lakes are y all on? Something must be wrong with the lakes I fish.

I fish Palestine and Jacksonville mostly. Like I said though when fishing with my son we go for quantity over quality. This time of year fishing the shad spawn at daybreak we can usually have a dozen to 15 the first hour on a topwater and a small spoon. The Kentuckies especially seem to school up on Palestine.

I don't know anyone who would remember how many fish they caught at certain lakes. I wouldn't care if it was one or two as long as they were the right size. Last trip, I caught an 8.5lb at Fork, along with some others. That was a good trip for a three hour fishing trip, to catch 6-7 fish was good for me.

I read a study one time that said the average bass angler fishes 16 times per year and averages 3 fish per trip. Was some big north American freshwater fishing marketing review. I can't remember who published it.

Numbers are easy to come by down at Amistad so I'd say somewhere around 15 or so can't think of many trips that I've had less than that.

I have averaged 8-9 per day so far this year in about 85 hours on the water.
That average includes a miserable skunking on Grapevine (8 hours) and a one fish day on Benbrook (6 hours) back in the winter.
The other lakes treated me a lot better.
I have had a decent year for size this year as well with 11 fish over 5 lbs. One of which was over 8 and another over 11.

Depends on the lake, but I would say 10-15 average. Some days 25+. It will slow down for me as the summer temperatures rise.

Per TRIP is hard to say. I fish 3 days a week this time of year but 1 or 2 of those days I don't start until 6 PM.
Backing into some numbers for the year, I would say 3 fish per hour is about right for the folks that I fish with, on average. So 20-25 for a full day per stick. Best full day was 75 fish for three guys so math seems to hold up pretty well.
Also depends on the lake a great deal.
