 What reel should i get?

I just got back from academy returning my concept a for the 2nd time but this time I got my money back. I do not want any more 13 reels just because I have not had anything good with them. Im willing to spend about $250 for a new reel. I was feeling some of the shimanos and they feel good but I don't know anything about shimano. What reel do you guys recommend I get? I fish Port o connor all the time so preferably a reel that can stand up to the salt

Abu Inshore Orra or Revo for baitcaster.
Shimano is the only way I go though on salt. My favorite are Stradics. I have 4 and all are great.
I use Revos in fresh water and they're great, but just don't feel as solid as Shimanos.

Go to www.landbigfish.com and get a Shimano Curado I 200. They're on sale right now for 129.99. Regular 179.99. Great reel for a great price.

The Curado, as mentioned already is a solid reel that will hold up to the salt all day. Rinse off after salt-use though, just to keep it from getting gummy.

IHG curado and buy 2 of them. Or shop around for a Diawa zillion TWS if you want to spend it on one.

The gear ratio is how many turns the spool makes when you turn the handle once. The bigger the number, the slower you can turn the handle, but also the harder it is to turn the handle. I would probably pick a 6.3 to start with.

I want the largest number because that gets the fish to the boat faster. The slower ratio reels may be easier to crank, but you don't want to do a slow retreive and give the fish time to spit the hook.

I love my Revo baitcasters. I have Gen 1 Premiers and now MGX's. They have never failed me and the MGX's are crazy lightweight.
