I would like to buy a Texas whiskey/bourbon for a friend in Indiana. Last year I gave him Gentleman's Jack, his response was "that's some good stuff". This year I would like to give him a Texas product. We don't drink much whiskey so what do I get with a limit to $40/5th?

Thanks Red

Thank me later.

Brisket and Tex-Mex comes from Texas. Whiskey from Kentucky and Tennessee.

This is being made locally up here on the Red River. I do not drink but someone needs to try it and tell us if it is okay or not.

They did just win an award for best world corn whiskey in April of this year.

I have to agree. I've been disappointed in most Texas brands.

Shots fired. This is how Hatfields and McCoys started.

Unless it has to be a Texas bourbon your friend will like Blantons Single Barrel. If you strictly want a Texas bourbon the TX and Rebecca Creek are good choices. There is another I cannot recall that is bottled in Dripping Springs that is smooth.
