Gotta find a better place than Tom Thumb to buy some steaks. Last few times the ribeyes were awful.
What is the best place to buy some steaks for grillin? What is the best cut. I have to get some for 6 adults and 2 kids for this coming weekend. The gals like them burnt to charcoal dust, the guys like em medium to medium well.

Tom Thumb had prime NY strips a few weeks ago for $11.99/lb. Our TT has a great meat selection.

I used to love Tom Thumb Ranchers Reserve but they don't have that line anymore I don't think. Ribeye is best steak by far imho but lots of women don't like the fat on them which is where the flavor comes from. Ribeyes for the guys and filet or strips for women is good bet but well done it's all dry and like leather.

Poke with fork several times. Marinade with Moore's original. Grill 8 to 10 minutes on each side. Put a pat of butter when you flip it. Only flip it once. Bone in ribeye.

Whole Foods where's the marbling?? I can't stand grass fed beef. No fat no flavor and I find it tougher than good prime angus beef.

Central Market, Whole Foods or find a butcher. Get something from a case, not styrofoam wrapping.

I prefer marinating with montreal steak. I like filets and ribeyes. If they like them well done, I would have the butcher cut some thin. If you try to cook a thick steak medium well to wel done, you're going to char the hell out of the outside.

I would buy prime strip or ribeye, have the butcher cut them no more than an inch, maybe 3/4 since you have to cook them done, and putting that pat of butter on them will help.
