Turn off water at meter.
Unscrew hose bib.
Teflon threads on new hose bib.
Screw in new hose bib.
Charge silly homeowner $500 and laugh all the way to the bank.

I normally will fix anything, but if I screw this up I'll have to cut into the wall in our bedroom. last quote I got was $150.

That's what we paid about 10 years ago for the same thing. Yes, ours was soldered on, as well.

Even if soldered you could replace with a shark bite yourself. As long as you can get to enough of the original copper.

Being built in 74 I am willing to bet money it's not screwed in and you will have to open the wall up. Have you tried replacing the washer? Please don't put a shark bite fitting in the wall either. You will have to chip the mortor out around the pipe going through the wall to get the old one out. Imagine a nut on the back side that is slightly bigger then The pipe going through the wall. I would take the stem out first and try replacing the washer.
