Thanks! Struck out today but was able to have fish for dinner... at Long John Silvers.

Work and colder temps has us delayed in kayak fishing. That said, here is a short video on "What Is In Our Kayak Fishing Jacket".

Warmer temps and minimal winds. Made it to Lavon; caught six Keeper White Bass slow trolling! Fun stuff! Today's Video.

I just got my first kayak over the weekend. Plan on heading out to Lavon this Saturday morning.

Ran over to Clear Lake park and fully intended to paddle to the island and bank fish for sand bass from there even took my cart and my small kayak so I could make it easier on myself. Got sidetracked on the way and started casting at some bass hitting some shad nearby. I did eventually catch a sand bass and one little yellow bass, but I was really disappointed that I lost that big bass. Glad I caught the second one. Good times at Lavon. Only had few hours to fish, good thing to cause the rain rolled in just as I was leaving.

Fisherman13... I don't think I would have set the hook with a bass loading up hard on it either. Just means that the bass didn't fully have it in it's mouth, or the hook never penetrated (which I don't think so). Don't beat yourself up to much. Thank you for sharing though.

It was just one of those things. I'm good... sometimes the fish win lol. Was a good fish though.

Made it Clear Lake Park (Lavon) yesterday. Slow start but after finding the pattern, action stayed steady! Saturday's Video.

Anyone do bank fishing around these parts? Don't have a kayak yet.

Great day out! I have caught a bunch of channel cats and some blue cats when after catching a few sand bass. I think they are attracted to the smell of fish on the lure after a few fish have been caught on it.

Lots of people bank fish around the points this time of year. Clear Lake has a small pier to fish from as well. Tickey Creek is another poplular spot to fish from the bank for sand bass.

I was out at Clear Lake Saturday mornin'. Caught a couple Sands, heard they were catching some crappie off the island point.

I will be out at Lavon tomorrow early looking for bass or sand bass. I'll be in a red/orange pelican catch 120. Anyone who wants to join feel free. I'm thinking to launch at South Lavonia was planning do Little Ridge but heard it was closed for road repairs. North Lavonia is $5 I prefer to launch there usually but not feeling like paying to get in.
