What cast said. Don't scrap, round circles with a micro fiber towel.

3M specialty adhesive remover. It's available at professional refinishing supply stores. And maybe O'Riellys "first choice"'salesman can get it for you. It is similar to GooGone, but a lot faster...and less oily.

Plain old WD-40 will remove some types of adhesive.
Easy enough to try it and see since almost everybody has a can of it sitting around somewhere.
Spray on-wipe off.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Like Muzzlebrake said. Good ole WD-40 works great and won't mess up your finish.

After a better look a lot of adhesive was remaining. This time used 3M remover WOW..would have saved me 3-4 hours. 3M ($17 a can)for adhesive remover I'm sold. And a new boat just came out of the wrapper. SWEET

Acrysol, This is what the automotive industry uses to remove adhesive residue. Won't hurt the surfaces and removes the glue completely. You can get it at any auto paint store.
