Got a call from a friend yesterday that wanted to do some fishing. Took him and his wife out to JP today for just a few hours after the rain stopped. Had to fight the wind a bit but the Terrova was up to the challenge (second best fishing purchase I've made). After getting them to stop trying to reel backwards we got into lots of crappie. Caught fish from 15'-20' on several different jigs. The only color they wouldn't hit was solid chartreuse. Tried a couple new spots that both held fish. The fishing is nothing short of awesome right now. Nothing large today either, big fish was only 12", but lots of fish and a decent amount of keepers. Found a couple of schools of crappie cruising the open water. Swimming jigs through the schools did the trick. No pics today spent most of my time unhooking fish

Go during the week. That's the best advice I can give you. The crappie are biting though.
