Is the water clear enough down here? I come from the land of KVD and Zona. I always though jerks baits were for clearish water? With the visibility of most Texas lakes, I have 3 Plano boxes of Lucky Strike Pointers just sitting in the closet.

Many people forget that a jerk bait can be worked like a top water. Its a very versatile bait. I always have one tied one, and use it over a square bill or deep diver. If they want it, they'll come up and get it. Anyway, that's my thoughts. My favorite is the Megabass Vision bronze green in color, but there are a lot of good ones out there. I throw those on 12# Sunline mono Good luck

This weekend I was running up to the dam on the lake I was fishing and was easily catching 20-30 fish a day. Throwing a megabass 110 and the 110+1. I know, it's very expensive but I promise it will out fish other jerkbaits/ ripbaits 5 to 1. I was running up to the dam side of the lake due to the 15-20 foot of water clarity. Threadfin shad patterns worked best. Really tried to catch a smallmouth but the plethora of largies kept me content for the weekend. Main lake points with pebble- chunk rock really held most of the fish. Secondary points held fish but not like the main lake points would.
Thanking the lord for another day on the water
