My first date? There were no cell phones in 1960 Or the 70's 73 was the first year Cell phones were not available to the public in the 70's. Probably early 80's. First one I saw in person was 1984

I once fell asleep during a movie on a first date. It was one she picked out and I was out before the opening credits. It was also our last date.

I once texted a friend while my date was in the bathroom that "she will not shut up" Accidently sent the text to the date. Lucky for me she didn't read her text messages until I had dropped her off. This was over 10 years ago and I'm now married (not to her) but still feel bad about that.

So he took her to a movie on a first date? Probably the one place where you CAN'T interact and get to know someone. And his p'd because she was texting? I mean he's almost 40. It's not like he is in high school. If that's his idea of a first date I think I know why she was texting.

It was our last date as well. The movie I went to was Nashville (1975). Funny, I remember the movie but couldn't pick her out of a one woman lineup today.
