Curious, what makes these better than a regular marine battery?

Buying them off Amazon- what if you need warranty? I had/have exide on mine and a battery failed on me. So I took it back to academy and got a blue top. Think I'm gonna make that my crank battery and swap my current crank battery to the trolling motor. Got the batteries at academy. Bought them in October and had issues so I swapped them in November. Now just one failed. The manager at academy acted like he was doing me a favor and basically so that was the last time. My fault for buying a $90 battery I guess. So where would you buy a battery for better service than academy?

Better reisistance to vibration, no maintenance....other than occasionally cleaning the terminals, never need water, can be mounted vertically or horizontally, allowing more to fit in a smaller space, AND very low ESR. Low ESR allows them to be more powerful per a given mass and also allows them to recover and recharge a little faster.

I'm no battery expert but I have had enough batteries leave me stranded to say the time my last boat had blue tops I had no problems. I think I'm gonna take the other two exide back to academy and if they won't swap them out I'm just gonna leave them there and go to oriellys for new ones.

I bought mine at Gander. Not all the stores carry them. They had the same price as Amazon. I also ended up getting a discount code when I viewed the website from my mobile phone. So they ended up being cheaper in the end.
