I run a single console and will never go back. Gives me more room and a good place to boat flip fish. Co angler also has more room to store his junk. If they do not like it, they can buy a boat. Hahahaha

I do believe that a dual console might be a touch faster.

Dual. I always have my brother, friends or Grand kids fishing with me and they like the dual set up better.

I've only had a dual console, and I like having the 2nd console. Never thought to myself that it was in the way either. I also think they look a lot better than single console for some reason.

Mine is a duel but I made it a single. Not that I don't care about my passenger but I just like the room better with a single. I'll loan them a save phace.

I've had both, a ZX250 with dual and now a ZX225 with single. I absolutely love the extra room with the singe console. My fishing buddies haven't had much negative to say about it other than 50 mph feels like 85 without a console. LOL. More leg room for the passenger also, on those long idles they can kick their feet up and relax.

As a passenger, being in both, the single is good on calm days but when the lake gets rollin...my left arm got real tired at the end of the day. That second console is good for the oh sh!t handle. Lake Buchanan on a north wind, oh my, thought I was going out a few times.

I bought my partners old boat with a removable console. I haven't taken it out, I like the extra storage for my money, phone, snacks, etc.

As long as I have a wife I'll have a dual console.

The dual console provides protection for the passenger.
Mine has a large glove box. To me, that is a big plus.
I have a 20ft boat so length isn't a problem on that side with room for my rods.

If I fished alone or seldom had a passenger I would get the single since it is easier to move around in.
Some dual console boats have a small glove compartment. To me that is a negative. Why build a second console but have a small glove compartment?
If the boat is shorter than 19ft, I would choose single console.
Dual console on a Phoenix boat limits your ability to get into some of the storage boxes on the passenger side, so I would get a single console even if the boat was a 20-21 ft boat.

Say what you want, but dual consoles crowd the boat. Single consoles are far more comfortable and easier to fish from. I say i'll never own a dual console but the wife hates going too fast with no cover... so we will see when it comes time to buy a new one.

It was 25 degrees, a little mist and freezing rain, and I was riding passenger in my partners single console boat on tournament morning. I can tell you everything about that day because it was most likely the most miserable fishing experience of my life. Temps never got above freezing. We fish from my dual console Skeeter on cold or rainy days.

Get the dual console that's removable, takes care of everything. I'm not sure how it is in other brands but in my Bass Cat I can have it out in five minutes.

From my experience with single and dual consoles I find the single to be more conducive to fishing.
