Anyone notice the blue metal boat with Lake Master wrap running the banks on Fork this weekend. He was running about 5 yards off the bank. Just wondering what the heck he was doing as he was moving fairly quickly for being that close to shore.

I saw more than one boat doing that, I think they might be spraying for grass.

I saw more than one boat doing that, I think they might be spraying for grass. Seriously, you really think that? This must have be been what went down in a Lakemaster marketing meeting: Problem: How to sell more Lakemaster mapping chips? Solution: Wrap a boat with our company logo and spray herbicide to kill vegetation at one of the most popular bass fisheries in the world.

I saw him while I was fishing a tournament on Sunday. He was running into stumps left and right, I honestly thought he was drunk. I had caught one off a stump and casted back and caught another from same group of stumps and while I was culling my fish I look up and he drilled the group of stumps I was fishing. I yelled at him and he came over and apologized and asked if I would give him 5 more minutes to finish mapping that area. By that time he had ruined the cove I was in so I left. Thats one strong boat because wasn't going to slow when hitting all the stumps.

They use regular outboards and damage a lot of props in shallow water. Two of them were at a lake in Va. last fall and the map they created is on the 2017 map card issue as well as a single lake purchase with Chart Select.

Talked to these guys last month at Pines. They are updating the Lakemaster GPS maps for a lot of the area lakes. They told me there tear up a lot of equipment here in Texas (LOL).

I saw one Sunday up pretty close to coffee creek running in circles right through the stumps. A dock owner I talked to said he did the same thing Saturday.

I was out at Fork for 3 and a half days this week and we saw 3 different survey boats running, none of which had Lake Master wraps. The 3 we saw were white with big white poles sticking in the air, for geosat comms, I'd guess. They were plowing through stumps left and right and making quite a racket. Only one was marked Survey Crew. They had MN tags.
