I have dual console because of my kids, but when they move out I am getting a single. I prefer the single for moving around the boat and access to lockers. To me it is kind of like caring about leg room in the back seat of your truck.... I never sit in the back seat of my truck so why do I care?

I do not think on 20' boats that you really notice a second console. The console helps fishing buddies be more comfortable and the extra storage, but the thing I like the best is my rods can lay on the side and not bounce up and down on floor hanging over.

Almost all newer boats have removable passenger consoles.

I have a removable dual console on my 20' Triton that I currently don't have installed right now. Thinking of installing it so my wife will want to go with me which means more fishing for me .......atleast thats the plan!

I sit in the passenger seat and will say single all the way. Yes it sucks in the winter but it's so much easier moving around and getting from the back of the boat to the front. There have been many times in the last boat with dual consoles that I would smash my knee or run into it scrambling to the front to net a fish (that didn't happen often). We currently fish a 22' boat and still prefer the single.

Almost all newer boats have removable passenger consoles. This^ I have a removable. Tourney it is out of the boat (doesn't matter the weather), the rest of the time it is installed.

I have had a single console boat as well as the dual console. The Single console was a deep v aluminum that I used for Canada trips. When you have 3 guys in the boat, single console is ideal. No way I could have comfortably had 3 guys in the boat with a dual console.
My bass boats have all been dual console, and I don't think I would do it any other way. Glove box, storage under the console, cover for the passenger when on plane as all have said.

It's all personal preference. I have a removable console and don't think I will ever put it back in. I like the extra room.

Way more room with the single console, I did not even get the removable console with my new boat, the last one sat in the garage collecting dust.

I have a 17 FX21LE and it makes life so much easier.
I sit there and access my tackle.. tie.. etc....
A lot more room to fish two up front.

I went from a 17' single console to the Z520C Dual console and love it. Extra storage, place for passenger to shielded from wind.
