So if they were breaking the rules, these new rules will stop them? I don't think most would break that rule.

So if they were breaking the rules, these new rules will stop them? I don't think most would break that rule. The last two paragraphs they put in the article really muddy up the message. What the rule would do is instead of stopping the info 28days prior to the tournament they wouldn't be allowed to get info on lakes as soon as the schedule is announced for the next season. Schedules are normally released in the summer for the next Spring.

Can't imagine how difficult that would be for an Elite that has his home lake as one of the choices, year round?

I think the last two paragraphs tie in. So currently if they are breaking the rules and getting info in off limits period, they just say, i got this info last month. But if its off limits always, they can't use that cop out.

HA! This will create a nightmare if they polygraph and I can see more "Luke Clausen" happenings.
Again, It's all how an angler INTERPRETS what is "receiving information"
Walking through a tackle store and someone randomly saying "Hey man I caught them on this!"... did you just receive information? Some will say yes, some will say no. Now try to avoid that for a year. They need to re-word some rules.

Meh They are fishing for their own money anyway. Their own Money--They're fishing for mine, yours and everyone that buys any tackle after the TX. They don't pay themselves to fish--You do.

I see the reason for a off llimits to try to level the playing field but a no onfo rule for that long would be really hard for them to do if they don't word it correctly in my opinion.

Sorry but your right and wrong. I promise you 95% of those guys aren't making Jack hardly off endorsements after expenses. Now a few yeah they making good money but only a few. Most are playing with their own money like stated.

This will make it worse not better. If they feel many are getting info inside the 28 day period it's just going to be more with a longer period. It's impossible to enforce. What's the limit to info anyways? It can come in so many forms. If your buddy comes from the lake and leaves the rods on the deck with certain baits tied on that's info without a word being said.
It's the info age, let them have it all. They still have to sort through the good and the bad.

I remember Bassmaster having a womans tournament on Lewisville back in 2008.
A lot of guys from here took them out on the lake and showed them their spots
