First time ever on Lake Bonham. Fished yesterday evening and this morning and couldn't buy a bite. Lake is 3 ft low so I couldn't fish my usual spots. All the fish I found were in 20+ water and there is very little 20ft water on that lake now. They all had lockjaw with the water temp at 67 deg.
Tomorrow I go to Lake Kiowa and fish with my brother to get some revenge.

What are the different species that are in Kiowa? I've done work on some houses there and wondered what fish were there. Pretty lake.

Well, Kiowa wasn't much better. Caught 10 with 2 keeper sized and then broke off a big one I had on the CatMax/Ugly Stik rod with garlic chicken breast. 50 lb braid. It was the last reel I had spooled last years' Spider Wire. No more Spider Wire for me.
The local bass tournament there yesterday only weighed in 20 lbs for 5 fish. Most 5 fish bags were under 16 lbs. My brothers place is next door to the weigh in ramp so we got to see all the ditch pickles brought in. Most of the time it takes 30+ to win.
All in all it was a good day to be on the water with family and friends.
