Does anyone know which event placed grey tags on fish in the lake? It's the first time I've ever caught a tagged fish and took them to weigh in and totally forgot to look at the tag closer to see what it said. Released the fish and as I was turning to go back remembered to check it. I had a total dumb a$$ moment for sure. Just looking for anyone that might have the insight on fish tagged in the lake. It was only a little over 15" fish.

They tag fish for their annual Arlington bass classic. I think you have to catch a tagged fish during the tournament to redeem it for anything.

I figured it was done for an event. I'm still kicking myself for not looking at it and at least taking a picture of it before I released it.

Lake Arlington Big Bass Classic tags 10 fish a year. One tagged fish is worth $10,000. You have to bring it in during the tourney and have the tag # checked to see if it is the one. If not, there is a smaller prize for the first 5 tagged fish brought in only. If you. Arch the $10,000 fish and it is #6, then you get nothing.
