Any reports on striper fishing at Texoma. We went out with a guide in April of 2016 and the striper fishing was terrible. Caught lot of catfish. The guys I went with are wanting go out with a guide on the 30th and 31st of May. My question is has a striper fishing improved considerably since last year. Normally fish for bass and do not mind striper fishing but I am not a fan of fishing for catfish so unless the striper fishing has improved I am not too interested in going this time with them.

Much better. Lots of 10-20 inch fish and some days bigger fish mixed in. May is a good month for any way you want to catch them...we only lure fish and chunkin and winding is our thing smile

I was at Caney creek last week crappie fishing. I probably caught two dozen and at least a hundred sand bass on small white jigs. Only 6 of the sandies were legal size and I kept the only striper that was big enough in my opinion at 17 inches. Below that they are throwbacks. Bet the fishing guides know where the big un's are at.

All that said, a 12 inch striper is a hoot on a crappie rod.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.
