i don't think you realize just how small a 12" channel or blue cat is, most of those appear to be plenty big. Nice catch folks!

That's the kind of fish I want to keep right there. Easy to clean, fillets perfect cooking and serving size.

It doesn't explain anything unless you are narrow minded enough to paint everything with a broad brush.
I was going to use stupid instead of narrow minded but decided to be nice.

I've caught some nice 10 lb cats and the camera made them look smaller then they were. You can't really go by the picture to judge size. Bob Holmes is a very respected guide and respect the resource.

I also know Snowy, he meant no harm and no disrespect. Jerry is a very good cat guy himself and when you get to know him, he's a wonderful person to share your boat with.

Now, nice trip there and congrats guys on some good eating cats!

Catfish
For blue catfish, length limit is a 30- to 45-inch slot. Blue catfish 30 inches and less or 45 inches or greater in length may be retained. Only one blue catfish 45 inches or greater may be retained each day. For channel catfish, minimum length is 12 inches. Daily bag limit = 25 blue and channel catfish in any combination. For flathead catfish, minimum length is 18 inches and daily bag limit = 5.
