Has anyone used this ? I like the concept, the app seems decent, neat way to compete against friends and log fish catches. On the fence on buying one. Could be good for major league fishing style tournaments ? http://www.fishingbaitclub.com?afmc=3e

My dad has one and it is great and pretty cool how you can tag the fish with the color on the scale and it automatically tells you which color to cull in tournament mode. We also use it in our little family fun tournaments that we have in MLF style. It is also a very accurate scale as we have compared it with a tourney scale in the Bud light trail and it was identical weight.

I have one. It works pretty well. Pretty accurate, seems to be within an ounce or so of our club scales. Bluetooth connection to phone is good on my new phone, but was pretty sketchy on my old one. I think it was a firmware issue with the phone and not the scale. The app is pretty neat, it will log your catch (shares the info supposedly for conservation or something). If you don't want anyone to know ANY of your spots, probably need to turn off GPS. Which brings up an issue, if there is bad data reception, it may not work when you tell it to log the catch. I found if you turn off the data it will work, I guess it just stores the info an uploads later. The tournament tracking feature is why I really bought it, turn it on and it will tell you what to keep based on the colors/numbers of your culling floats.

I've had mine for a little over a year. I don't tournament fish much so I basically use it just for log purposes. I added a jaw gripper to it and recalibrated it so the weight would be correct. I just quickly weigh the fish and keep track of how many pounds I catch over the last year. I did use it during two of the tournaments I fished last fall and it was great for culling. I recommend it.
